Burek, also known as Börek or Bourekas, are classic savory and sweet pies that have been enjoyed in the Balkans, the Mediterranean and parts of the Middle East for centuries! A sister to Greek Spanakopita and Tiropita, savory burek are traditionally filled with ground beef, potato, cheese or spinach and cheese – and wrapped in thin layers of crispy phyllo. Djerdan Beef Burek Pies are “bake-at-home” versions of the delicious burek we serve in restaurants. Our Beef Burek feature seasoned ground beef and roasted onions nestled between delicate layers of phyllo. Baked to perfection in the shape of a pizza, each family-sized pie serves 4-6 people as an appetizer and 2-3 people as a main dish.
